Capital goods major Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), has bagged a Rs. 3,536-crore project in Gujarat. It will be an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project to set up a supercritical thermal power unit for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (GSECL). This is the country�s first ever EPC contract for an 800 MW rating supercritical power project. The order is for a 1x800 MW coal-fired supercritical thermal unit at Wanakbori, in Gujarat.s Kheda district. With this project, BHEL has won orders for installation of 33 supercritical boilers and 28 turbines. |
